How to create… SPRINGTIME CUPCAKE TOPPERS

These springtime cupcake toppers are super simple to put together, yet so effective. You can make larger versions for bigger cakes and they also work well on round cookies. In this project, I’m going to take you through how to make and store these delightful decorations.

VANILLA CUPCAKES

MAKES 12-15

200g (7oz) self-raising flour
50g (1¾oz) plain flour
200g (7oz) unsalted butter
200g (7oz) caster sugar
4 free-range eggs

1 Preheat the oven to 160°C/Gas Mark 2½.

2 Cream together the unsalted butter and caster sugar. Add the eggs and mix well.

3 Stir in the self-raising flour and plain flour.

Mix well, then divide between 12-15 cupcake cases. Bake for 35-40
