Chocolate raisin slice
MAKES 12 LARGE OR 24 SMALL PIECES
300g (10½oz) rich tea biscuits
125g (4½oz) butter, cut into small cubes
240ml (8½fl oz) sweetened condensed milk
200g (7oz) raisins
180g (6½oz) milk chocolate, broken into pieces
1 Grease a 35x25cm (14x10in) baking tray and line with greaseproof paper.
2 Put the biscuits in a food processor and process to a fine rubble. Alternatively, put them in a freezer bag and seal, ensuring that you remove any air, then bash with a rolling pin to crush.
If you are also making the peppermint slices, crush the biscuits and mint chocolate in the same food processor now, then continue to work through both recipes side-by-side.
