BAMFORD CLAEYS

Dear T&M,

I have just been reading the November 2019 issue of T&M, featuring combines, here in New Zealand. I moved here from the UK 17 years ago.

My late father worked for Bamfords on the baler side of the business, doing gearbox assembly. I remember him telling me that Claeys approached Bamfords to take over their company, but for some reason they refused. With the takeover of Claeys by New Holland, Bamfords then did a deal with Volvo to market their combines.
