Installing a permanent air supply: Plug and play
No workshop can do without a decent compressor for an adequate air supply. First and foremost, air is needed for correctly inflating tyres (a task that's otherwise avoided if it's going to take an age). And then there's a whole raft of pneumatic tools that are serious and sensible alternatives to their electric and battery-powered tool equivalents. Indeed, while such electric tools may have closed the gap on pneumatic impact guns, you are still going to need air for spray painting or sand blasting … among other typical on-farm tasks.
The more evenly the air volume and pressure are supplied, the better a tool will work, and key to this is a powerful workshop compressor. Do not make the mistake of going with too small a diameter of hose or pipe. Also important is the hose length. The longer the hose, the larger the cross-section or diameter needs to be in order to get enough volume and pressure to the tool at the end. Keep in mind how you would size water pipe.
Dragging too big a pipe is also going to be cumbersome, as
