Testing the metal

The more options you have, the more difficult it is to make a choice. This maxim definitely holds true when it comes to choosing wearing parts for tillage kit on which the manufacturer normally has several options. And this is before you even start to consider spurious parts.

Standard wearing metal parts, and generally speaking the cheaper option, are those that feature tempered steel … and it's these that will be available in mass from pattern part suppliers. The difference in price and quality is usually not that big, and, as these are sold through agri parts traders, the price is often very competitive.
