SUPPLIER SPOTLIGHT:

Participating in the Mayco decorating course with Bre Kathman at Potclays earlier in the year, (see issue 39 for details) before the virus hit us and the world turned upside down leaving us all a lot more space to think, led me to wonder about a company like Mayco and how it has developed over the years.

I was particularly interested to know who started the company and the reason why, so duly asked Bre if Mayco would like to tell us something about themselves. Mayco was very happy to oblige, so I sent them a list of questions and the following editorial is what came back – I think you will find it makes interesting reading. I particularly love the fact that the company is family-led and that ceramics are at the centre of the lives of all employees, family or otherwise. It is wonderful that a company like this has not just survived the ups and downs of fluctuating economic markets over the decades but gone from strength to strength, continually adapting and expanding its range to meet changing trends and demands. Of course, theirs is a recipe for success because the Mayco range of products has something for makers of all abilities, from beginners to professionals.
