HAVE KILN, WILL TRAVEL!
Many years ago, I bought a little piece of land in Portugal intending to live there in a low-impact, partially self-sustainable way. Things happened, life changed, and I discovered pottery! After realising that I wanted to be a potter for the rest of my life, I joined forces with Marvin, and we now run Muddy Fingers pottery together.
For me to be able to quit my job as a postie, I needed money to help me start on my new journey as a self-employed potter. So, reluctantly, I sold my little piece of paradise to invest in a new kiln and get me started in my new career. I never regretted this, as we work really well together as a team and our business is going from strength to strength, but I’ve always had in my mind that I’d still like to live over there at some point and take our business too. More things happened, and Marv and I became partners in life as well as business, and after a few trips over to Portugal, we’ve decided that we’d both love to live and run our business there at some point in the future.
