MODEL NEWS

CMR Models have introduced a blue and yellow Maserati racing version [1] of their impressive 1/18 scale diecast Fiat 642 RN2 Bartoletti transporter, following on from the red Ferrari version [2]. The real versions of both transporters were used in the 1957 Formula 1 racing season. Based on a Fiat 642 RN2 bus chassis, the transporters were built by Carrozzeria Bartoletti in Forli in 1956, a firm that also built coaches for football teams. The models are around 50cm long at this scale and have opening doors to view the detailed interiors and separate ramps with an auto hoist to load up to three F1 cars (not included, but suitable Ferrari Dino and Maserati 250F cars can be purchased separately should your budget stretch to it). The RRP of each transporter is £349.99.
