FERGUSON PACKS THE POWER

John Winterbottom has been mechanically minded for all of his life, “I have always been one for putting different engines into different vehicles,” he said, “Over the years I have put diesel engines into Land Rovers and Range Rovers and converted many of them to six-wheel drive vehicles.” He also has a passion for tractors, with his latest conversion involving a Massey Ferguson 35. “It has been fitted with a 5.9-litre Cummins six-cylinder engine,” he added. It sounded an interesting project, so an invitation to travel to Hyde in Cheshire in order to have a look at this conversion just couldn’t be missed.
