Virus spreads doubts over cycling season

s we went to press, there were riders from Cofidis, Groupama-FDJ, Gazprom-RusVelo and UAE Emirates still being held in quarantine in an Abu Dhabi hotel after coronavirus hit the UAE Tour. Eight people connected to the race had tested positive for what is otherwise known as covid-19, after an outbreak that caused the final two stages of the race to be cancelled, and led to all participants, staff and media being quarantined and then tested.
