22sts by 28 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch using 4mm needles
WORKING PATTERN BACK
Using 3.25mm needles with main colour cast on using thumb method 54 (62, 66, 74, 78, 86)
Change to Contrast colour and proceed as follows:
Row 1: * k2, p2, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 2: p2, * k2, p2, rep from * to end.
These 2 rows will now be referred to as 2x2 rib.
Work 7 more rows of 2x2 rib. Row 10: p6(6, 8, 6, 8, 2) p2tog, p8(6,10, 8, 8, 8, 2). 49(55, 61, 67, 71, 77)sts.
Commence Stocking St
Row 1: knit
Row 2: purl
Work in stocking stitch throughout cont until back measures 12(15, 18, 23, 26, 31) cm ending with a WS row.
