1. Avoid External Distraction
When recording, consciously decide to put your full focus on the music by directing your attention only to the project. External distractions do not only disturb the recording, but also wear on your nerves. Therefore, it is important to eliminate as many sources of interference as possible. Close the windows. Check whether technical devices such as printers, televisions or lamps make any noise and switch them off, if necessary. Set your smart phone to flight mode to avoid being pulled out of the flow by calls or messages from social media. Create a musical atmosphere by placing only production-relevant items on the table.
