    The potential La Niña event forecast for the 2020/2021 summer season presents mixed fortunes for agriculture in Southern and East Africa.

    A La Niña weather event is associated with below-average rainfall from December to February for parts of East Africa on the one hand, and above-average rainfall for Southern Africa, on the other.
