SPARE C6ras lompair Eireann (CIE) 42ft long intermodal wagons of the No. 30001 to 30218 series were fitted with box modules for use on spent ballast and spoil trains together with other infrastructure materials in recent years.
The intermodal wagons, first introduced by CIE in 1971, will have seen use on various revenue freight flows including ISO containers and beer keg traffic as described in last month's issue of Irish Railway Models (IRM) has taken the opportunity to supply its recently released 'OD'
