MANTASHE’S PLAN IS MAHLOBO RELOADED
Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe’s nuclear proposal faces increasing opposition as it is being compared to former president Jacob Zuma’s failed move several years ago.
The proposal has been described as being “too similar to former energy minister David Mahlobo’s failed nuclear build programme”, while the mineral resources department’s “seemingly rushed approach” has also been questioned.
