Experts slam NUM over its lack of clarity on just energy transition partnership

THE National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has been told to be clear on its stance on the agreement the government has signed with developed countries to finance just energy transition projects.

Energy experts have challenged the union to stop pretending and be clear about whether or not it wants the government to continue with the JET Partnership.

The call comes after NUM said it wanted the government to delay the implementation of the JET until all stakeholders were convinced that such a transition would be fair and just to workers
