Mboweni resuscitates the myth of a ‘good story to tell’

Last month, Finance Minister Tito Mboweni had the unenviable task of releasing an adjusted supplementary budget for the country. This was in response to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is having an impact on not only revenue generation, but also expenditure, as new needs emerge.
