MKHWEBANE ADMITS FSCA INQUIRY WAS FLAWED

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane may be publicly defending her 2018 report into the Financial Services Board, now known as the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), but, within the confines of her office, she openly concedes that the investigative work that went into the report was “grossly negligent and reckless”.

While admitting to the mistakes, Mkhwebane places the blame squarely on senior investigators in her office, who, as of Friday, were facing a disciplinary inquiry.
