WHETHER RICK STEIN is celebrating in Cornwall or Mollymook, there’s only one tradition he upholds every year. “That is, the massive amount of Easter eggs I eat on Sunday morning.” He and wife Sarah divide their time between the UK and Australia. “Sas and I try to do Easter one year in Cornwall and one year in Australia, and if possible, in Australia we will go to Bannisters at Mollymook. Interestingly, unlike Christmas the weather can be quite similar in both countries around this holiday period.”
Good Friday marks easy work for the fish whisperer, who prefers to skip the usual fried fillets for something a bit more comforting. “As we’re in the cooler months of the year, I tend to favour quite substantial dishes, like my seafood gratin from Normandy with sauteed sweet apples.”
