Fruit flies buzz about our homes all the time, and can be so small that we barely notice them. The flies primarily feed on the yeast cells which exist in stale fruit, but also in dead potted plant leaves. Fruit flies have an excellent sense of smell, and they will quickly sniff out an overripe banana
