The expression ‘behind every successful woman is herself’, couldn’t be truer in the case of Anna Maria Horner, who has nurtured several creative businesses and raised a family of seven children.

Since graduating with an Honours Degree in Fine Art in 1995, Anna Maria’s entrepreneurial spirit, combined with her passion for design and colour, has taken her on a journey through fashion, quilting and fine art. After launching her first clothing line, Handmaiden, which she designed with her mother, she opened her first retail space selling clothing and homewares.

Anna Maria soon developed her own brand and started designing textiles and her own range of quilting fabrics. In 2014 in her home town of Nashville, she set up Craft South – a craft hub with an emphasis on
