Narrated by Scottish actor Alec Newman, the latest episode in BBC Two’s Natural World series explores the lives and adaptations of eagles. Consisting of 70 different species, these birds are “high-flying, sharp-eyed and fierce”.

Of course, the programme doesn’t cover all 70 species in an hour, but focusses on some of the most impressive. Incredible sequences include Verreaux’s eagles hunting rock hyraxes in the mountains of Oman; crowned eagles catching bats in Zambia, and golden eagles fighting corvids over food.
