f you’re exercising a lot, there’s a chance you may begin to crave salt, as sodium (which helps to maintain water balance in our body) is lost in sweat. However, most of us consume too much salt, so it is rare for sodium levels to drop too far. Stress can prompt us to crave strong, salty flavours, so this may be a psychological need rather than a physical one.
