Spicy sauces

Husband-and-wife team Niall and Vicky let their personalities shine through in their range of fun chilli sauces. Based) offers a variety of sauces from mild to seriously spicy, all balanced with great flavour – plus, they’re vegan and gluten-free. The Vic’s Ol’ Smokey sauce is named for Vicky, ‘the Chimp Wimp of the family’, and is mild enough for those ‘starting their chilli journey’. At the other end of the scale is The Stinger: a sweet, fruity sauce with ‘a sting in its tail’ thanks to homegrown chillies. Niall fondly refers to their fans as ‘Chimpions’, and says they eagerly await limited-edition sauces like the Mon-Key Lime (made with habaneros and lime juice) or Howler, a fiery sauce made with a blend of ominously-named chillies like Armageddon, Viper and Red Scorpion. Niall’s favourite flavour is Pineapple, as ‘it goes with everything and is the perfect blend of sweet and sour, with a little heat.’ To find out more about the next Show, turn to page 62.
