Ellie Harrison We all know that littering is wrong – so let’s quietly decide to right it

“Stop press: litter is bad. Yes, didn’t you know? Bottles and cans kill shrews, bank voles and wood mice. Yes, really. Litter makes a place feel abandoned and unsafe, as it does the people who live there. Can you believe it? And it costs nearly £1 billion to clear up litter and £50 million to deal with fly-tipping each year. As true as I’m sitting here.

That’s 66 words wasted, stating the obvious.
