The Boat ...

The Nomad is a well-established, purpose built surf charter made for voyaging the many islands that exist in Sumatra, Indonesia. Our mission is to ‘share the stoke of surf ing’ by f inding the best waves, serving the best food and accompanying all this with the coldest Bintangs in Sumatra. Amenities include full air conditioning throughout, complimentary photo service, 4m Tender, aluminium speedboat 7.3m (with 150 hp 4 stroke x 2) full shade cloth, fishing & snorkeling equipment, flat screen TV & sound system.

The Region ...

The Nomad operates mostly in the Mentawai Islands but charters to the Telo’s or the Banyak Islands are also available. Having been a guide since the ripe old age of 16 years, Jake Thompson is considered one of the best, if not, the best surf guide in Sumatra. An unbelievable surfer himself from the Gold Coast, Jake will search high and low to find you empty lineups and pumping waves every day of your trip no matter what region you choose to sail.
