Did you know that (nearly) everyone’s favourite star name is a nice easy binocular double star? Shining at mag. +2.7, Zubenelgenubi (Alpha-2 (a ) Librae) – the name means ‘the southern claw’ – is visible to the naked eye. ) Librae, 3.5 arcminutes away. Although they are both around 75 lightyears distant, they may not be a true binary star.
