Lady Stewart credits her dogs Bubbles and Lily – and chickens – for helping her through the past few months.
“Without the feeling of calm when I’m around my furry and feathered friends, I wouldn’t have dealt with the lockdown so well,” Penny tells HELLO! , sharing this exclusive photo of her and husband Sir Rod Stewart in the garden of the Essex home that they share with their sons Alastair, 14, and nine-year-old Aiden.

The Loose Women star, who is doing all she can to support PDSA’s Urgent Appeal – the charity has been losing around £3m in income every month during the crisis, at a time when more pets and their owners are turning to it for help with veterinary care – reveals that she and Rod enjoy a rather surprising start to their day.
“We have made a regular daily routine of sitting with our chickens. We take our morning coffee, and fruit and veg goodies for our hens and cockerel each day.
