INTERVIEW: DAWN EMERY
It would have been easy for Staffordshire-born actress Rachel Shenton to be lured by the Hollywood lifestyle after winning an Oscar two years ago for the short film The Silent Child alongside its director – now her husband – Chris Overton. But there was never any doubt that her heart belongs in the British countryside.
Sharing with HELLO! these beautiful new photos, taken by Chris, Rachel tells us: “I have good friends in America and I’ve enjoyed working there but I’d always choose home. I love it here.”
Her new role, then, must be her absolute dream: starring in the new version of the much-loved drama. “I love horses and all animals so it is the perfect show for me,” she says.
