Griffin thunders to win before rain arrives

Rain stopped play at Snetterton for the second day of the Classic Sports Car Club’s second meeting of the year, but there was plenty to enjoy before thunderous showers spoiled everyone’s fun.

The only race to be held on Sunday was the combined Modern Classics/Turbo Tin Tops showdown, which featured a 40-car grid and a masterful win for Dave Griffin’s Diet Coke-liveried BMW M3 E36. Griffin made short work of the Porsche 911 RSR of Tony and Aston Blake, which had pipped him for pole. He established an advantage
