Chicken and Sweet Potato Dumpling Soup

4 pieces bone-in chicken (thighs, breast, drumsticks)
1 cup chopped yellow onion
½ cup chopped carrot
½ cup chopped celery
4 cloves garlic, minced
6 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
2 dried bay leaves
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 cups sliced rainbow chard
