‘The film is uplifting and inspiring to all that loved her’

Stepping into the shoes of Whitney Houston for a biopic chronicling her extraordinary life and music has to be one of the film world’s most sought-after roles. I Wanna Dance With Somebody has been snapped up by Sony’s TriStar Pictures and HELLO! can reveal that singer and actress Keke Palmer is being tipped as the pitch-perfect leading lady.

Keke’s odds are put at 7/4 by premium bookmaker Fitzdares, whose film expert Clive Harris tells us that Empire star Taraji P Henson, at 12/1, and US singer-songwriter Brandy Norwood, at 20/1, are also in the frame.

Having released her first album aged just 14 with Atlanticalongside Jennifer Lopez, is a strong candidate thanks to her powerful vocals and acting experience.
