OTI MABUSE UPLIFTING CELEBRATION
With everyone’s routines turned upside down, the timing was not ideal for a milestone birthday, but dancer Oti Mabuse woke up with “the biggest smile” on her face the morning of her 30th. The Strictly Come Dancing pro celebrated at home with husband Marius Iepure… and a host of balloons.
But the biggest lift for the series’ reigning champion did not come courtesy of all the helium (left), but thanks to her sister Motsi, who organised a video call with family and friends, including their mother Dudu and sister Phemelo in South Africa (above). Posting on Instagram, Oti told her followers: “It’s the big day!!! Feeling… truly happy in my soul and excited for this chapter.”
Fellow Strictly stars including Tess Daly, Shirley Ballas and the Marchioness of Bath were among those sending good wishes, while celebrity friend Alesha Dixon predicted: “Life gets better now!!!”
Oti recently returned to the rehearsal studio to prepare for the forthcoming series of Strictly and called being back “so much fun”.
