OUT OF THE WOODS

WHEN FLEUR AND MIKE Leslie bought Otway’s Loft in the small town of Forrest, Victoria, in 2013, their friends declared them “completely bonkers”. The curious three-storey structure built from tree poles and train carriage parts was rundown, surrounded by blackberry brambles, and inside, its walls were painted a dizzying rainbow of green, pink and blue. Nevertheless, the couple knew they’d found something special.
