DISTLER ELECTROMATIC 7500 PORSCHE CABRIOLET

As the Porsche 356 Series Coupes, Cabriolets and Roadsters (Roadster bodies produced by Drauz in Heilbronn and final units assembled in Stuttgart) rolled off the assembly lines in 1950, it did not take long for the toy and model manufacturers to take notice of the Porsche 356 popularity. They tooled up to produce their version of this sports car in miniature. One of those toy manufacturers was JOHANN DISTLER K. G. located in Germany's main toy industry of Nürnberg. DISTLER had been producing tin toys for years.
