n the intro to your article on calibrating lenses, it would have been a good idea to point out that only DSLR bodies suffer from this phenomenon and may need calibration, as the focus sensor is separate from the image sensor. Therefore, there can be tiny differences in the length of the light path from the lens to the separate sensors, thereby causing back or front focus errors. On mirrorless bodies, the focus sensors are mounted on the image sensor, so there can be no difference in path from the lens to the sensors.
