A Beeza comes home

A few hours later a comment was added to the post from my cousin Jeff that I can honestly say changed my life. He posted “I have that bike in my garage”. And so the fun began. I grew up riding (well scrub bashing actually) in North Queensland when in 1975 my grandfather (Poppie Stan) gave us a Grand Prix mini-bike, followed by a Deckson Eagle in 1976. My brother and I were in heaven.

Sadly in 1979 at the age of 14 our father moved us to Mackay and with nowhere to ride anymore our riding days came to an end. It’s at this point we jump forward to 2008 when my husband Mark floated the idea of me ending my pillion days and getting my motorcycle licence. So I did the test, passed and in 2009 took ownership of my 2008 Triumph Speedmaster. Life was great and I was loving the freedom of the open road. Unfortunately, the older I got
