KRASH MAGAZINE LAUNCH

In 2003, the first issue of KRASH magazine landed on shelves and changed our lives forever. That’s right; featuring everything from WWE, gaming  and news to cars, movies and comics, the world’s coolest magazine is a massive 200-issues-old.

SOCIAL MEDIA MOVES

In February, 2004, social networking service, The Facebook, was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his college roommates at Harvard University. By September that year, the platform was renamed Facebook and its popularity soared. As the company grew, it expanded by purchasing photo and video-sharing site, Instagram in 2012, followed by WhatsApp in 2016. Earlier this year, Facebook was estimated to have 2.89 billion monthly active users globally.

Twitter emerged as a new player in the social media game in March, 2006, where users communicated via short form messages called “Tweets”. Originally, Twitter posts were limited to 140 characters; however,  increased to 280 characters in late 2017. As of February, 2019, there were 321 million monthly active users on Twitter worldwide.

Social media sites continued to evolve with the launch of Snapchat in 2011, which allowed pictures, messages and videos to be sent and viewed for a limited time. In March, 2020, Snapchat established 229 million active users each day. More recently, video sharing site, TikTok, became
