How It All Began

This is a story of a different time, a time when people were more self-sufficient, and in which much of today’s vast government bureaucracy did not exist. Were those better, worse, or simply different times? I’ll leave that for you to decide.

It all began in Ohio in 1948. I was in my early teens and had an after-school job cleaning my dad’s business office. Ed was one of several sales associates working with my dad.
