Christmas Island

Kiritimati, or Christmas Island, is known the world over as a premiere fishing destination. The island lies approximately 1,500 miles south of the Hawaiian Islands and can be easily reached by commercial jetliner in about three hours. The island is flat and boasts 140 square miles of coral atoll that is teeming with large giant trevally (G.T., ulua), big bonefish (‘o‘io) and pelagic game fish.
