The chief medical officer at Lutheran Medical Center was seeing fewer COVID-19 patients coming through the hospital’s doors. People were being taken off ventilators, having successfully fought off the disease. Even elective about that task, lessons learned from the disease’s initial outbreak, and the problems hospitals still face in the immediate future.
