RE “THE MODEL MINORITY Trap” [July 6–13]: I applaud Viet Thanh Nguyen for dissecting how America came to be what it is today. Identifying white supremacy and capitalist exploitation as the root cause of all this is the first step to bringing justice to George Floyd and countless others who were treated as just another piece of property and then insouciantly destroyed.
