    Making a profit from litchis

    40 YEARS AGO

    While temperamental, litchis can be very profitable if carefully managed and grown with care.

    Litchis withhold their favours for no good reason. Then, when possibly least expected, they shower abundance on surprised growers.

    The harvesting period is short. All the fruit rushes to ripen at the same time. This adds up to headaches for the grower and the trade.
