What’s not to lychee

LYCHEE TREES ARE SLOW GROWING BUT LONG LIVED; SOME SPECIMENS HAVE BEEN DATED UP TO 1000 YEARS IN AGE.

First things first: can you grow lychee in your garden? The fruit thrives naturally in inland areas with cool winters, but it can also be grown on the coast, though unreliable coastal seasons may result in a smaller yield.

At least half of Australians should be able to grow lychee with varying levels of productivity. While Mildura in Victoria is considered the southern limit for subtropical fruits, warming temperatures are pushing the boundaries.
