HELLO!’s ORIGINAL COVER GIRL THE PRINCESS ROYAL FAMILY’S HEARTFELT TRIBUTES AHEAD OF HER 70 TH BIRTHDAY

She was HELLO! ’s first cover star, taking readers inside her apartments in Buckingham Palace in 1988. More than 30 years on, the Princess Royal is still one of the royal family’s most respected and admired members.

She regularly tops the list of most hardworking royals and clocked up an impressive 506 engagements last year, surpassed only by her big brother the Prince of Wales with 521.

And as she approaches her 70th birthday next month, Princess Anne shows no sign of relaxing her pace.

“She’s got so much more energy than anyone that I know that’s 70 – well, apart from various members of our family,” says her son Peter Phillips.
