They don’t want to go back home

Q During lockdown, my two stepchildren lived with us as their mother is a key worker. They integrated well with my two children. Mine live with us permanently, as their father passed away when they were young. Understandably, the stepchildren’s mother wants to go back to the old pattern, which was that they were with us every other weekend. But the kids don’t want to do this.
