Floral Fantasy

Make this colourful happy quilt as you see it, or put your personal touch to the design by adjusting the florals to suit your own ideas and abilities. A darker background with light-coloured flowers would look equally as stunning. The borders and the pieced panels are made of 4in blocks; it’s simple to substitute whatever blocks you fancy — imagine Piano Keys or Broken Dishes blocks.

Wendy has had the idea for this quilt for several years and felt it would be the ideal quilt design for a group project. The quilt was constructed by the Nelson Bay Quilters for their 2020 to be on display and help raise funds at their annual quilt show in March this year, however, like many quilt shows and events, it did not go ahead due to COVID-19. The quilt was professionally quilted by
