MONTHS AFTER SOCIAL distancing began, promotions across the globe continued to feel the effects of COVID-19. Despite being a cornerstone of contemporary Mexican culture, lucha libre remained dormant through the spring. British and European wrestling was virtually nonexistent. And, though some Japanese promotions continued to soldier on to varying degrees, puroresu suffered greatly in Japan.
