PLANE CRASH HORROR Scarred for life but I’M A SURVIVOR

Looking out of the plane window, I›watched as the fields grew smaller beneath us.

‘Look!’ I said to my little brother, Kamlesh, four, who was just as bewitched as I›was.

I was 10 and my parents had taken us out of school for a three-month trip of a lifetime to India.

It was our first time overseas, and over the next›week, we met relatives that my parents hadn’t seen in decades.

As we boarded another plane to Bangalore on February 14, 1990, I had my eye on the window seat.

But so too did my brother.

‘It’s my turn,’ he argued, planting himself firmly in the seat.
