Growing up in Northumberland, in a cottage on a hill, Leon Rothera lived a true life of the land. ‘We had chickens and goats roaming around the place, and we only ate vegetables pulled fresh out the soil.’

Today, Leon is a London-based chef who owns TV and film catering company Honest Foods. And his food philosophy hasn’t changed, even if his culinary skills have. ‘My food is about letting good ingredients shine, using techniques I’ve picked up over the years – be it tips on how to make the perfect soufflé, or how to add depth to soups.’

Along the way he’s picked up some famous fans too, with Olivia Coleman requesting Leon and his food on the set of Broadchurch. ‘We supported the catering on The Crown, and she was always first in line.’
